About Paul Bello and PJB Pest Management Pro:

As a student of Dr. Austin M. Frishman in his Pest Control Technology program at SUNY Farmingdale, Paul J. Bello became a licensed applicator and began his pest management career working as a technician in 1976. He transferred to University of Georgia where he earned his Bachelor of Science of Agriculture in Entomology.

He later earned his Masters in Business Administration in Accounting at Adelphi University.

After graduation Paul’s career expanded from working as a technician to technical director of the world’s largest pest control company. He then started his own pest control company which he ran for ten years. During this time he earned his MBA, worked in public accounting and the corporate business world. He then returned to the pest management industry where he was technical director for large pest management companies, technical representative for pesticide manufacturers and currently serves the pest management industry and various other clients as a consultant.

Paul became well known to the pest management industry when his articles began to appear in state association magazines and national trade magazines. He is a sought-after speaker presenting at industry conferences and seminars across the country.

Mr. Bello is an award-winning industry expert. While at Zeneca he was the 1998 Pacesetter Award winner and Committee Member of the Year for the Florida Pest Control Association. In 2017 he was the initial recipient of the Certified Pest Control Operators of Georgia Wayne Webber memorial Award of Excellence for his contributions to the industry. Paul is also the founder of the Dr. Austin M. Frishman endowment scholarship at Purdue University.

Paul has both his Associated Certified Entomologist(ACE) and Board Certified Entomologist(BCE) credentials from the Entomological Society of America. His dedication to the industry is evident in his passion for teaching and helping others succeed. He teaches others effective study methodologies and proctors ACE/BCE exams to help industry colleagues increase their professionalism.

His industry experience and knowledge are quite broad. He has served as a technician, technical director, trainer, manufacturer’s technical representative, product distributor and consultant. His technical knowledge extends from ants to termites, from cockroaches to rodents, from turf pests to vertebrate pests. If it’s a pest related issue, Paul probably knows how to resolve it.

However, pest management is a business. While pest professionals may be excellent at handling pest problems, they also need to know how to operate a successful business. To meet this need years ago he began holding the PJB Business Development Workshops where attendees learn to improve the financial performance of their business. These Workshops have been well attended and reviewed by pest professional business owners from thirty states and Canada.
